As an officially licensed supplier/manufacturer
of logo merchandise, we have access to selected college
and university artwork. Our designer utilizes the
official logos, marks and colors of the schools to
create the chair design. Only the best, clearest pieces
(no knots or wane) of Western red cedar are used for
logo boards. These boards are carefully air dried
to 16% moisture content. Once selected, every board
is cut and shaped to size and then sanded to an exact
thickness utilizing a 36 inch, 20 HP wide belt sanding
system ensuring high quality for the engraving process.
One-color logos and wordmarks are engraved utilizing
computer generated tool paths and robotics on the
CNC machine. The engraved board is then sent out for
painting which includes an exterior primer coat and
two exterior enamel coats of the official school color.
Computer generated tool paths and robotics are used
to engrave boards with inlay cut outs for complex,
multicolor logos.
Inlays allow us to produce multicolor logos in exact
detail. Each inlay is printed on exterior sign material
utilizing outdoor sign ink followed by a UV coating.
This added UV protection ensures fade-resistance of
the inlay colors. The printed inlays are then glued
into the engraved boards utilizing state-of-the-art
glue system from 3MTM especially formulated for
exterior applications.
This entire process involves numerous, time consuming
steps but the results are worth it: logo furniture
that is handsome, comfortable, and built to provide
years of outdoor seating enjoyment. |
